Off again soon to Alaska in Seaducktress

We cast off Sunday, May 1st for our 3 1/2 month adventure, taking our boat up the Inside Passage to Southeast Alaska.

For me, this trip is about experiencing the Northwest maritime wilderness while surrounded not just by nature, but by dear friends and family. It doesn't get any better than that.

The focus of this blog will be on photography, as I do my best to capture the incredible beauty and wildness of the region and the wildlife that inhabit it. Internet connections will be spotty, but I'll try to submit a new post every 10-14 days.

Over the summer we'll have numerous guests aboard Seaducktress. First up are Jane and Michael, dear friends from Port Townsend, who will travel all the way to Juneau with us. They are fabulous filmmakers, so maneuvering for the best shots will, I'm sure, be a part of each day.

If you would like to check out my blog from our last Alaska trip, head over to www.seaducktress.blogspot.com.

And if you'd like to learn a little about our little ship, Google "Seaducktress" or check out the web site of George Buhler, her innovative designer. www.dieselducks.com.

So strap on your seat belts or buckle up your life jackets, and get ready to travel along with us as we explore the fabled Inside Passage and on into the wild country of SE Alaska.
